Iris is one of the most expensive raw materials in the perfumer’s organ because the extraction process takes so long: it takes around three years for the iris rhizome to reveal its fragrance, and another three years of drying before it can be distilled.
This chypre fragrance is an intense, feminine creation from the Galimard perfume house, a perfumery that uses noble, precious materials.
