Located on Route de Cannes, the Grasse Factory-Museum offers complete immersion in the history, production and professions of perfume. It is the House’s historic site, ideal for classes wishing to explore Grasse perfumery in depth, its raw materials (orange blossom, jasmine and rose) and the ancestral extraction techniques still visible in the factory.
L'Usine-Musée d'Èze-Village : une expérience condensée au cœur d'un village médiéval
Located on Place Charles de Gaulle, at the foot of the famous hilltop village of Èze, this second site offers a more condensed, panoramic experience without compromising the educational content. Pupils also explore the history of Grasse perfumery, its origins and its raw materials, in a focused and engaging format. This site is particularly suited to school groups wishing to combine an educational perfumery outing with the discovery of the medieval village of Èze and the French Riviera coastline: a format appreciated as part of a multi-activity stay on the French Riviera.
In both cases, the visit helps pupils understand Maison Galimard’s central role in the history of French perfumery and discover expertise passed down since 1747.
What happens on a school visit to Galimard: history, raw materials and a fragrance workshop
For a school trip to Grasse or Èze-Village, Galimard offers two main formats, available at both Factory-Museums and adapted to group organisation.
- The free guided tour
Accompanied by a guide specialising in perfumery, pupils explore our Factory-Museum in Grasse or Èze-Village: raw materials, manufacturing techniques, laboratories, historic collections and the secrets of the creative process. The visit traces the history of the perfume industry and Grasse’s role as the World Capital of Perfume through the Perfumer’s Organ, also known as the ‘Nose’, whose secrets are revealed by our guides. Lasting 45 minutes to 1 hour, this free visit is available upon request for groups of more than 8 people.
- The guided tour followed by the Pause Cologne Workshop
To extend the experience, school groups can complement their visit with the Pause Cologne Workshop in Grasse or Èze-Village. After discovering the Factory-Museum, each pupil is invited to smell 10 of our Eaux de Cologne, then blend 3 to 5 of them according to their own olfactory preferences to create a 15 ml fragrance. Available from the age of 5, this format lasts approximately 1 hour to 1 hour 15 minutes, including 15 to 20 minutes for the workshop, and turns the visit into a genuine sensory, participatory introduction to fragrance creation.

For classes wishing to deepen the experience beyond discovering the Factory-Museum, Galimard also offers perfume-creation workshops led by our Perfumers and booked separately: the perfume-creation workshop in Grasse, the Studio No. 1 workshop in Grasse city centre or Èze-Village, as well as private Masterclasses lasting 1, 2 or 3 days. These more advanced formats in olfactory composition are aimed at groups wishing to devote more time to the art of perfumery.

The guided tour of the Factory-Museum lasts between 45 minutes and 1 hour. Combined with the Pause Cologne Workshop or the perfume-creation workshop, the full experience can last longer depending on the option chosen.
