How to choose a perfume creation workshop ?

You dream of creating your own perfume? You wish to offer a perfume creation workshop, but which workshop should you choose? Classic creation, Signature, Haute-Couture?
Are you a little lost in front of the different services offered by our Studio des Fragrances ? Apart from the budget choice, there is also the question of your expectations regarding the experience you are going to make, so let us guide you to make your choice easier!
At the Studio des Fragrances Galimard in Grasse we offer these three workshops:
The “classic” creation at €60 (€50 for children under 15)
It takes place every day at 10am, 2pm and 4pm (4.15pm in July & August) and lasts between 1h30 and 1h45.
You are seated in front of a perfume organ filled with 126 essences and you compose 100 ml of Eau de parfum, with the help of the assistant perfumers. You take your creation either in the bottle included in the price, that is to say the brown “laboratory” glass bottle equipped with a dropper, or in a nice spray bottle, optional at 12€.
This workshop takes place in the main room of the Studio des Fragrances, which can accommodate up to 30 people per session. When booking you can choose in which language you wish to be assisted: participants are grouped by language to facilitate explanations. Of course each participant works in front of his personal organ. If you wish, you can be accompanied by the person of your choice for an additional €10.
Included:
- Personalized Eau de Parfum, 100ml bottle (brown “laboratory” glass, optional spray on site)
- Student perfumer diploma
- Registration of your formula in our confidential database
The “Signature” workshop at €99 (€89 for children under 15)
Takes place every day at 10am, 2pm and 4pm (4.15pm in July & August) and lasts between 1h30 and 1h45. You are seated in front of a perfume organ filled with 126 essences and you compose 100 ml of Eau de Parfum with the help of the assistant perfumers. You carry your creation in an elegant “Galimard” engraved spray bottle with its case, as well as a home fragrance diffuser (200 ml, in its box with its sticks, value €39,50) that we produce from the base note of your creation.
This workshop takes place in the main room of the Studio des Fragrances, which can accommodate up to 30 people per session. When booking you can choose in which language you wish to be assisted: participants are grouped by language to facilitate explanations. Of course each participant works in front of his personal organ.
If you wish, you can be accompanied by the person of your choice for an additional €10.
Included:
- Personalized Eau de Parfum in an elegant spray bottle, 100ml
- Personalized scent diffuser (base notes of your creation) with bamboo sticks, 200ml
- Student perfumer diploma
- Registration of your formula in our confidential database
The Haute-Couture Studio N° 1 workshop at €269
The workshop session times depend on the season and the schedule of the Perfumer and assistant perfumers (check availability in the online calendar). This workshop takes place in a private space. You are seated in front of the organ composed of 126 essences and a Perfumer or an assistant perfumer assists you personally throughout your creation.
This workshop lasts about two hours and you will have the choice of a hot or cold drink during creation for a little “olfactory break”. You will take your creation home in an elegant “Galimard”-engraved spray bottle and your graduation as a perfumer student will be celebrated with a glass of Champagne.

Important Notes:
Minimum age of participants
Children are welcome in our Studio des Fragrances. In order for the workshop to be carried out in in the best way possible, be aware that it requires some “practical” skills: the creation form being completed by hand, it is advisable to master writing and reading in order to be able to copy the names of selected essences.
On the other hand the creation of perfume involves the manipulation of a graduated cylinder (made of glass) as well as the pouring of quantities up to 100 ml according to the instructions. Children under 8 must therefore be accompanied by an adult (reservation of a child’s creation and an accompanying person). Take advantage of this advice to share a unique and original moment with your little one !
Organization
The workshops (at €60 and Signature workshop) start at the times indicated and their sequence is as follows:
Entry into the creation room by language group, placement of the participants in front of their personal perfume organs, explanation of the workshop in the chosen language and instructions for the start of the creation. In order not to disturb the smooth running of the workshops and in order to guarantee you a comfort of creation and an olfactory result that meets your expectations, no participant will be admitted once the workshop has started.
We invite each participant to be sensible and calm, so that everyone can be receptive to the smells and olfactory memories summoned, and to make the most of this moment of creation and relaxation.
